AI PREVISUALIZATION
For the past decade, Colin and his band, "The Flounders," have been the centerpiece of Key West’s Pink Snapper Bar & Grille, delivering nightly performances while living as perpetual "almost-was" rock stars.
Colin, a charming but self-destructive frontman, navigates his life with a mix of humor, flings, and detachment—especially in his on-again, off-again relationship with Sarah, a fiery and resilient bartender. Despite the vibrant setting, Colin harbors deep regrets, wondering if he's doomed to repeat the mistakes of his father, who left him long ago.
Enter Kate, A real estate developer visiting Key West for a new project. Sparks fly between Colin and Kate, giving him hope for something different, but everything unravels when he learns Kate is trying to buy and redevelop the Pink Snapper,
a beloved local landmark.
Their romance shatters, but Colin’s troubles are only beginning. He finds out Sarah might be pregnant, while Wilson, the bar’s aging owner and Colin’s mentor,, is threatened by a violent biker gang over debt. As Colin faces heartbreak, professional betrayal, and threats to his home, he’s forced to examine his life choices and confront the reality of his fading dreams.
With the bar's future at stake, Colin fights to redeem himself, make amends with those he’s hurt,
and prove that it’s never too late to change course.
A heartfelt blend of comedy, romance, and second chances, the story explores love, ambition,
and finding your true self amid the chaos of life in Key Beautiful West.
We have already created the entire limited series as a podcast audio drama.

It has been joked that Collins was in the Dave Matthews Band before Dave Matthews. Back then, he played lead guitar in Common Knowledge, a Charlottesville, Virginia-based, Earth, Wind & Fire-esque band featuring DMB founding members, drummer and backing vocalist Carter Beauford, and the late saxophonist LeRoi Moore. Eventually, Collins evolved into a singer-songwriter, and he put himself through graduate school performing three nights a week in local clubs.
His Spotify numbers include a total of more than 200,000 Listeners with a cumulative number of more than half a million Streams in just 3 years. On YouTube he has amassed almost a million total Views across his 135 YouTube videos including eleven lyric videos to date. In addition, George Collins performs regularly at Prague’s Hard Rock Café – the largest of its kind in Europe – and he's a mainstay artist at many other leading clubs
“The debut EP from the George Collins, "It’s Been A Long Time," is a collection of songs brimming with literate and insightful narratives and sharp pop hooks. Collins’s songwriting hits that sweet spot where art and craft intersect. This passionate pop/rock with a modern vintage feel recalls masterful tunesmiths like The Beatles, Tom Petty, XTC, Elvis Costello, Dire Straits, Counting Crows and Wilco, among others. His songs feature instantly hummable melodies; subtle but smart counterpoint; clever chord sequences; ace musicianship; and vocals that ooze soulful rock n’ roll longing. As a lyricist, Collins is a poet, a sage, a storyteller, and an empath. He covers the full-spectrum of emotions and the human experience, and he writes with cinematic detail, visceral vulnerability, and clever turns of phrase.” - Lorne Behrman

Torn between her career goals and newfound
love, she struggles to reconcile ethics and
matters of the heart. Beneath her polished exterior, she seeks authenticity and
a true sense of belonging.
Wilson, the weathered owner of the Pink Snapper, is a gruff but caring mentor and father figure to Colin. He hides pain from a troubled past, including debts threatening his livelihood, but remains deeply committed to the bar and his community. Beneath his tough exterior,
Wilson is a man of deep loyalty and hope.
Sarah is a quick-witted bartender who refuses to settle, despite her complicated on-again, off-again relationship with Colin. Beneath her fiery exterior and sharp tongue is a longing for respect and real connection. Fiercely independent, she won’t let herself be
hurt again without a fight.
Sally, Colin’s sarcastic and loyal roommate, navigates her own romantic woes while serving as a grounding presence in his chaotic life. Beneath her humor and cynicism lies genuine empathy, often making her the voice of reason. Though she’s still finding her path, Sally seeks stability and authenticity in her relationships.
Olga is a bold and carefree European tourist whose playful flirtations and broken English bring both chaos and humor to Colin’s life. Often underestimated, she unapologetically pursues her desires, creating complications with charm and candor. Beneath her wild exterior, Olga is smarter than she appears, always seeking adventure.
